Mike devotes his practice to a wide-range of commercial and civil litigation cases, representing corporate and individual clients. Mike’s broad background includes representing several Fortune 1000 companies in state and federal courts throughout the country in a variety of cases, including class actions, multi-million dollar construction disputes and complex product liability cases. Mike is an experienced litigator who has been involved in numerous trials and arbitrations.
Legal Expertise
Mike joined the firm in early 2004. Before then, Mike was a partner in a small Chicago firm where his diverse practice included representing commercial and individual clients in a variety of litigation matters, specializing in commercial contract cases for both plaintiffs and defendants.
Upon graduation from law school, Mike spent several years in the in the litigation department of a prestigious Chicago-based law firm that is one of the world’s largest law firms. His practice there included a broad range of cases for numerous multinational companies, including complex tort litigation in courts throughout the country.
Education and Background
Mike graduated from Kalamazoo College in 1985 and received his J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 1988, where he graduated Order of the Coif. While at Michigan, Mike taught legal writing and research to first year law students. Mike has been a volunteer, tutor and fund-raiser at one of Chicago’s largest homes for abused and neglected children for almost fifteen years.
